Caught!

I set Nora down in her room so that I could grab something real quick. When I came back this is what I found! At least it wasn't markers on the wall...not yet at least!

A Night Away

Labor Day brought a day off of work and a night away from Nora!

My (cathryn) parents offered to take Nora for a night whenever we felt comfortable leaving her. Now that she sleeps 12+ hours a night we felt like it was a good time to capitalize on their offer.

We headed up to Santa Rosa after church on Sunday, dropped off Nora, and headed to Napa for what we called our 24 hours of selfishness!

Armed and ready for care!
We stayed at a beautiful country club resort and felt way out of our league with all the overly tanned, golf playing, 70 year olds!

We visited a winery which was fashioned after an Italian castle!

Paul went picking grapes right off the vine.

A good time was had by all! Thank you mom and dad for taking your Labor Day and spending it with Nora!

Farewell and Good Luck!

My friend and co-worker, Katie Licari and I started working at FBCLA on the very same day back in 2005. We learned the ropes together, made mistakes and laughed about them together, she corrected my ramblings, and I...well I listened to her dating/engagement/marriage stories (which were great and always entertaining!). At the beginning of this month Katie started a new job which takes her away from FBCLA and is a great move for her but for me, I am left laughing at jokes nobody understands, taping on her window even though she isn't there and eating lunches on my own! I will get used to the change but for now it is just plane old weird not having her around!

On her last day in the office we resurrected an old tradition of Robert Goulet time, brought in a giant pazookie, and gabbed like there was no tomorrow...because there wasn't!

Good-bye Katie and Good Luck!

Where once there was unattractiveness now there is beauty!

A couple of weekends ago Paul and I relandscaped the island of land in front of our house. Before we did this it was just dirt, before that there were hideous, overgrown junipers. Now there is beauty!
Bad untamable bushes!

Beautiful low maintenance landscape!

A good team!
