Halloween 2011...Finally!

It seems like with all the festivities of Harvest Parties, School Parties, Birthday Parties that Halloween now is an afterthought. none-the-less, Tinker Bell came out again for her final flight, more candy was commandeered and a new pair of tights where lost, all in a nights work!

It's not every day that you open your door to Peter Pan!

What a pair!

We have a couple of neighbors that we have gotten to know well. It was fun sharing another holiday with them as well.

By the end of the walk around the block the kids had Trick-or-Treating down to a science.

Things for Nora to work on for next year: ringing the door bell only 1 time and graciously taking whatever candy is offered.

It's so fun to see the courage and spunk of this little girl. Where did she come from?!?!

Birthday Blessings

We were blessed with another year with our Nora Rose! What joy you bring to our lives. Mommy & Daddy love you, to the moon and back!

The theme was "Barbie Goes Country"

The table of honor.

Having fun with her best friend!

Have you ever seen so much pink in one place at one time before in your life?!?!

Surveying her stack of barbies!
Nora is totally into Barbie right now.
She really loves the girliness of them, with their pretty dresses, hair and accessories.

Passing out goodies.

A fun day, good memories, much love!

Halloween Party #2 aka Family Fun Night

In the evening of October 28 our church put on our annual Halloween alternative Family Fun Night!

This party was the one we have been looking forward to and planning for for months. With the great plan of Nora and Liam going at Tinker Bell and Peter Pan, I set out weeks ahead of time for the perfect costume to capture Tinker Bell as a 3 year old. With many cross-references back to the movies this is what we came up with!

She sparkled, she jingled and even sprinkled pixy dust just like her character source.

(Nora's main concern was that she would be able to fly and with assistance from Daddy even this was successful!)

Checking each other out, amazed at each others transformation!

Playing Human Bowling!

The church this year had a great sound system going with great music playing.

Silly and scary at the same time, this is a signature Nora dance move.

Taking care of each other, challenging each other, helping each other; where would we be with out this Peter Pan and Tinker Bell?

Halloween Party #1

On Friday morning, October 28, Nora's school put on a Harvest/Halloween party for all the kids and parents to attend. There were bounce houses, face painting, crafts, snacks and so much more fun!

Liam and Aaron joined in the fun! They loved the bounce house, staying in it most of the time, breaking only for snacks and the occasional treasure acquisition!

Nora chose Itsy-Bitsy Spider and Liam chose a pumpkin.

The kids had a blast!

Let the Party Begin!

This is usually the time of year when I get totally bogged down with work, family, activities and festivities; and the first this that goes when that happens is the blog. This year I am doing my darnedest to stay on top of things...we'll see how long I can keep it up!

This year was Nora's first year to celebrate her birthday at school. So we brought cookies and I had lunch with her. I felt blessed to be able to share this with her and her smiles gave back what a million Thank Yous would have said.

Celebrating with Friends!
